Last Friday night as I ventured into the East for the 1st time since returning from The Grey South, I boarded a bus in Dalston. My destination was Shorebitch, & a quiet drink with Mr Cyde, perhaps a saunter around the presiding area for some further entertainment.

But on this Bus after a few minutes into it I noticed the 2 gentlemen sitting in front of me. These gentlemen, who I thought were a couple of Old Beans, turned out to be Gilbert & George. From calm to star struck.

No really I was nervous as a teenager, in the presence of 2 that have been part of my inspiration. I mean did you see the show at the Tate...stupid, the photography in the hall alone was amazing.

So here I am star struck, this a moment for a snap of a lifetime...go for it.

What do I do ?

‘Uh, excuse me gentlemen & my apologies for disturbing your journey, but I just wanted to say that I think your work is amazing. Thankyou’

Gilbert - ‘oh thank you very much’
George - ‘yes, very touching, thank you’

Did I snap a picture...no, did not have the balls...they are still on holiday. All I managed is the snap that you see, but I like it none the less...captures the moment for me rather well.

I love this city...it is good to be back.

Holidays over & as we trickle back into the office, you just got to find that drive back...well it is coming and yeah the news letters are lacking...ok some sort of glich, but things are a state of change here...watch this space etc...but we will be back on full power by next week..he says.

Last night I went to MATERIALS in Gt Titchfield Street to see, hear a presentation by MIX on Colour Trends.

As I realised from being there after 5-10 minutes, this is all about Interiors...well as the case may be, right or wrong...I kind of ducked out of the presentation in favour of going to the new Nike Sportswear space in Bateman's Row. I know..I should have been professional & stayed regardless...

I did take some pictures there though...hey you know me. They had laid all their Samples along the wall & that made for good visuals.

The shops Styling is definitely what I would term as next level...as is his knack Barnsley has tapped into what could be a New Way forward for Menswear, the style is very fresh & new. From these 2 Gentlemen I would expect nothing else.
